Biography

Lynne Johnson serves as Forsyth County’s Register of Deeds.

Johnson grew up in Wilson, NC. She came to Winston-Salem to attend college at Winston-Salem State University, where she graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in English in 1982. She began working at the Register of Deeds Office in 1986 in an entry-level Deputy Register of Deeds position in the Real Estate department, later becoming Micrographics Manager and Supervisor of the Vital Records division. She worked at the office for more than 27 years before going to work at the Forsyth County Clerk of Superior Court Office until she was elected Register of Deeds in 2016
